Boardwalk areas include Indialantic, Melbourne Beach, or you might like the hustle and bustle of Cocoa Beach where there's live music and bars right on the beach. For those who love undisturbed nature, there's the Canaveral National Seashore. Florida’s East Coast is known for surfing, with the best waves found just south at the Sebastian Inlet State Recreational Area. Your choice of beach may help you decide on the perfect vacation rental. The closest to Orlando attractions is in the Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral area.

The John F. Kennedy Space Center is located on Merritt Island, Florida. It is one of the ten field centers of  National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA). Since 1968, NASA Kennedy Space Center has been the main launch center of human spaceflight. Famous launch operations like the one for Apollo and Skylab were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39. There are 700 facilities and buildings across Kennedy Space Center. The Visitor Complex is one of them and houses the major attractions and exhibits for visitors to explore. You can book your tickets in advance.

Florida's Space Coast is home to more than 20 golf courses, both private and public. For the more advanced golfer, there are championship courses including the Duran Golf Club in Viera, while those who want a quick fix can enjoy any of the 9-hole courses at the beautiful Cocoa Beach Country Club. Three additional golf courses in Brevard County include two par 72 championship golf courses — The Savannahs at Merritt Island and The Habitat at Valkaria, and a par 67 stretched executive course—Spessard Holland at Melbourne Beach. Golfers will find unique features and challenges at each course. Florida’s Space Coast is a golfer’s paradise.

This community-built zoo's mission is 'Wildlife conservation through education and participation.' It's a world-class zoo that serves as a conservation hub where people gather to learn about animals, nature and conservation. In addition to enjoying the wonderful animals in natural habitats, you can add an extraordinary encounter to your visit. You can feed giraffes or exotic birds, take a kayak tour--even kayaking out to mingle with lemurs--or view the zoo from overhead through the spectacular Treetop Trek, an aerial adventure of climbing, zip-lining, and more. There's even a water play area for young children. The zoo is centrally located in the Central section of the county near I-95, which means no more than a thirty minute drive from any of our vacation rentals.

Florida is well-known for miles of alluring coastline, deep blue ocean waters, plenty of sunshine and some of the best snorkeling in the country. Cocoa Beach and Melbourne are especially popular for those renting a boat to take a sneak peek under the water because there is just so much to see. Other sites of interest include the Sebastian Inlet State Park with a wide array of sea life, everything from redfish to, if you're lucky, dolphins. A swim under the sea in summer time reveals an undersea world teeming with aquatic life. Boats and equipment can be rented throughout the Space Coast.

Florida’s Space Coast is known for some of the best spots to hang 10. Visit world renown surf shops to buy or rent everything you need. The local surfers recommend these locations for the primo waves: Cocoa Beach, Melbourne Beach, Playalinda, Satellite Beach and Sebastian Inlet. But if you’re unsure, there’s a local surf hotline to track down the tastiest of waves.

Deep Sea Fishing in the Space Coast

Port Canaveral offers several deep sea fishing options. You can rent entire boats and do all the work yourself, or just book an excursion where an experienced local Captain takes you to the best spots teeming with opportunities. You can even have smoked fish equal to your catch mailed to most home addresses.

Paddle Boarding in the Space Coast

The best way to take in some of the natural beauty in the Space Coast, is to rent a paddle board or kayak and just cruise around the Indian or Banana River. The best spot, according to the locals, is Mosquito Lagoon. Don't let the name fool you...it isn't as dangerous as it sounds.

The Space Coast has some of the best hiking in the entire country, with several trails at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and the Canaveral National Seashore. But, almost every town and city has several hammocks or wildlife preserve area with public trails. There's even a trail that runs right along the Brevard Zoo.

The launch schedule has never been so full, with the new NASA Artemis program and a very busy SpaceX schedule. There are small satellites, mid size SpaceX, and even now heavy-lift unmanned and even heavy-lift manned missions. But, a warning to anybody planning their rental around a specific launch, missions do get delayed and scrubbed up until the very last second before launch sometimes. Launches can be seen from any of our vacation rentals.

If you like sailing, Florida's Space Coast is your place to vacation. Our lagoon features several rivers, with several outlets to the open sea. If you're not an experienced sailer, than book an excursion with a skilled captain. Best sailing opportunities are in Indian Harbour Beach, Satellite Beach, Cocoa Beach and Melbourne.

A historic landmark on Florida's Space Coast, the world-famous Cocoa Beach Pier stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean and is home to restaurants, bars, gift shops and live musical entertainment. The Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier offers beach rentals, fresh water showers, regulation beach volleyball courts, lifeguards year round and access to some of the absolute best surfing on the East Coast.
